WELCOME TO A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

“Reflexology treatments with Jane have given me the ‘off button’ for my mind. I thought that would never happen!” Chris

The treatments are holistic, where mind and body are treated as a whole responding in detail to areas as required. This enables each session to be tailored to your own specific needs allowing your body to respond at its own pace. You may just want a one-off treat, but benefits of treatments are cumulative, so a course of sessions may be advised if appropriate.

“To keep the body in good health is a duty.”
BUDDHA

What is Reflexology?

The earliest evidence of foot pressure therapy dates back around 5000 years and it’s importance in healing has been recognised by most ancient civilisations including the Chinese, Egyptians, Native American Indians and Aboriginals.
In the early 1900’s it was proven that pressure applied to the skin created a link to the internal organs though nerve pathways. It was discovered that if the sensitive areas were massaged, the healing process would be started and intensified. In modern times heavy pressure techniques in hands and feet may not be needed as our feet are more sensitive walking on thick shoes and carpets, but this can be adjusted to suit.
I use the renowned Morrell Reflex Touch technique, which uses gentle pressure techniques on the reflex or access points in a precise and systematic way, whilst incorporating subtle work in the electromagnetic field. This technique is fabulously soothing and healing. It encourages the release of endorphins, releases tensions, reduces stress, improves sleep, improves mood and gives an improved sense of well-being. It is wonderful for everybody at any stage of life as it is non invasive and has no known side effects.

Your Session

Typically an appointment lasts about an hour, although the initial consultation is slightly longer as we discuss presenting health and aims for the treatment.
Only footwear and socks need to be removed, but wearing loose comfortable clothing is a good idea. After treatment your feet will be wrapped in soft warm towels and you will be left to rest peacefully for a short while. After the session you are welcome to spend time in the gardens to relax.

For 24 hours following treatment it is advisable to:-
DRINK plenty of fresh water to flush toxins from the system;
AVOID strenuous exercise and relax if possible to allow your body to focus on healing and help the treatment work to its full potential;
AVOID avoid tea, coffee smoking and alcohol - these are stimulants and can reduce the effectiveness of the treatments.
Very occasionally there can be tiredness or even a slight recurrence of a symptom, but this is short-lived and part of the healing process. This is perfectly normal and shows that your body is responding to treatment.

A delight to receive, wonderful for those who
just need time out for themselves
simply to relax
